Heritage Hall has played a defining role in the lives of Matt ’91 and Kristen ’94 Brown, which is why they have created a bequest to support the School and share its life-enhancing opportunities with future Chargers.
Matt and Kristen both started attending Heritage Hall in kindergarten, and both have remained deeply involved with their alma mater ever since. Kristen has served in numerous roles, from Heritage Hall Alumni Association (HHAA) president to gala chair. Matt helped found the alumni association, and he currently serves on the board of trustees.
Now, by creating a bequest, Matt and Kristen are ensuring the Charger experience continues to shape lives for the better far into the future.
Kristen wants their planned gift to perpetuate the activities and opportunities that make Heritage Hall the wonderful school it is. As an active student, she felt encouraged to try new things, develop her leadership skills, and discover her strengths.
“I am the person I am today because the School embodied the values my parents reinforced at home,” Matt says. “Heritage Hall has always been a family in the truest sense for me.”
“Heritage Hall should be a direct beneficiary of my success because this is the place that helped me achieve all of my success,” Matt says. He and Kristen urge their fellow alumni to consider making a planned gift as well.
“Everyone needs a champion in life,” Matt says. “We have been lucky to have an amazing family and great mentors who helped us succeed. But, for us, everything started at Heritage Hall.”
